The Dallas Food Inspection Scores Database provides a searchable, browseable, and mapable front-end to City of Dallas food inspection scores. Raw city data is extracted, normalized, and geocoded to provide historical records for each establishment. The original data is a mess: for example, establishment names vary from reporting period to reporting period. Thus significant work was done to streamline the data cleansing and normalization process.

Mapping services are provided through the Google Maps JavaScript API. The map feature makes use of over 8,000 commented lines of JavaScript and 18 class libraries developed by Tier 9 Partners. "AJAX" techniques are used to asynchronously download establishment score and geographical information as user's pan around the map, jump directly to a map location, or zoom to an establishment.

A C# ASP.NET backend drives both the Website and AJAX map server, while various Perl scripts are used to support data extraction and site management.

Desktop Dean was a Dean for America mini-RSS aggregator. Desktop Dean delivered the latest Dean news, opinion, and announcements to user's desktops.

Desktop Dean was written in Microsoft VB.NET and C#. Over three fourths of the code base used reusable components developed by Tier 9 Partners.

XML was used extensively as a data store and within network- and PC-based configuration files. Fully multi-threaded for fast response, Desktop Dean included auto-upgrade capability via a custom patch file creation, deployment, and download process. 

The Wash-O-Matic helps frequent traders conform to the Internal Revenue Service's wash sale rule. Adobe Acrobat, HTML, and Text reports and forms can be generated using a Quicken-like interface. Not available for download.

The core engine of the Wash-O-Matic was developed in modular Perl5. The user interface was written in VB6 and bound to the Perl5 engine using ActiveState's Perl Development Kit.
